SMS program & consent policy
Poppi daily check-in text messages
What this program is
Poppi (poppi.ai) sends friendly daily check-in text messages to older adults, set up by a family member. Messages are conversational — Poppi says good morning, asks how they're doing, and chats back and forth. Message frequency is chosen by the family: typically one to two conversations per day, each consisting of a few messages. Message and data rates may apply.
How consent is collected
Text check-ins are set up by a family member from their Poppi account. During setup, before any message is sent, the family member must:
- enter the recipient's mobile number,
- confirm via a required checkbox that the recipient has personally agreed to receive daily text messages from Poppi at that number, and that the family member is authorized to set this up on their behalf,
- choose the message schedule.
Poppi's first message to every new recipient identifies who Poppi is, notes that their family set it up, and explains how to stop messages at any time.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message and Poppi stops texting immediately. Recipients can also reply HELP for assistance, and the family member can pause or delete the schedule from their dashboard at any time. Opting out never affects anything except the messages.
